This pattern was recreated from the residence of Captain Jonsson who built a home on the island of Tjorn in 1890. This type of of "textile look" paper was common in Sweden around this time. Both colors have a gorgeous gold metallic ink giving the paper a rich brocade look. The dazzling gold ink must have dazzled in the candle lit rooms of the period.
